Adopt-a-Lamp Initiative

The New-York Historical Society’s collection of 132 lamps by Tiffany Studios is one of the largest and most significant in the world. Our 2007 exhibition A New Light on Tiffany: Clara Driscoll and the Tiffany Girls featured highlights from the collection and revealed the remarkable contributions of Clara Driscoll and other women who had anonymously designed and created many of Tiffany Studios’ most iconic lamps. Building on its success, we have created a dazzling new 3,000-square-foot gallery to showcase the collection and further explore the history behind these captivating works.

Our Adopt-a-Lamp initiative supports this exciting endeavor by funding the conservation, display, and long-term care of the lamps.

Sponsorship rates range from $2,000 to $25,000 based on the size, complexity, and relative rarity of the lamps, as well as their prominence in the gallery. As an Adopt-a-Lamp sponsor, you'll receive:

  • Credit on the lamp’s gallery label for the duration of the semi-permanent exhibition, or a minimum of ten years
  • Credit in the online database record for the lamp
